An update on Turkey's election
After the first round of voting, Erdoğan is currently the favorite heading into the run-off election on May 28
The pre-election polling in Turkey gave Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu a slim lead over incumbent Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Kılıçdaroğlu even had an outside shot, a hope, of defeating Erdoğan on the first ballot, avoiding a run-off altogether.
That turned out to be a false hope.
