Finding the positives in a sham election that saw Vladimir Putin re-elected Russia's president.
This past weekend, Russians voted in a presidential election. Or, as Brian Klaas, an associate professor of global politics, termed it in The Atlantic last week, an “election-style event”. Because in reality, Russians didn’t really have much a choice.
Vladimir Putin, Russia’s leader since 2000, was going to win re-election.
